Many incoming UF students, both freshmen and transfers alike, list proximity to classes as one of their primary reasons for choosing to live on campus their first year. It is an all too common assumption that students are led to believe based on their limited knowledge of other college campuses and the cities that surround them. What students (and parents) don’t know is that Gainesville is particularly unique in the way its off campus housing market has been developed.
