A tradition has developed at the Tioga Town Center! The beautiful stage & pavillion at the Tioga Town Center has become the home to some great concert events all year, but the Free Movie Night is becoming a great family thing to do at Tioga.
Bring a lawn chair or spread out a blanket in the grass and enjoy the Concert And Movie Series At the Square on selected Fridays.

Our Gainesville Raceway held the first NHRA Gatornationals in 1970 and is considered to be one of the fastest tracks on the NHRA circuit. There is a rich history of the Gainesville Raceway.
And on February 16th, 2012 , our Gainesville Raceway got a new name, The AutoPlus Raceway at Gainesville.
NHRA announced that Uni-Select USA and its Auto-Plus® network of automotive retail stores have acquired the naming rights to the NHRA owned and operated facility in Gainesville, Fla.

The North Florida Regional Medical Center Duckpond lighting is Friday, December 2nd, starting at 5:30pm. There will be a “formal” flip of the switch to turn on the spectacular display at 6:10pm, and will be covered live on the TV 20 News broadcast.

The Teaching Zoo at Santa Fe College provides Gainesville FL with a wonderful family tradition….Boo at the Zoo on Halloween. This will be the 17th Annual Boo at the Zoo!
On Halloween day, October 31st, you can come to the Teaching Zoo starting at 3:00pm to 7:30. Bring your little ones in their costumes and get treats at each of the Zoology stations located throughout the Santa Fe Teaching Zoo.
Admission: One Can of Food Per Person
This is yet another family fun event for Gainesville Florida!

The Alachua County Friends of the Library FALL Book Sale is coming up, so mark your calendars! This is an annual fall tradition in beautiful Gainesville. This year's fall book sale is scheduled for October 22nd through 26th.

The Cirque du Soleil new show “Dralion“ is coming to Gainesville in October. I have been a big fan of Cirque du Soleil for years. I’ve followed all their TV shows, but nothing compares to seeingCirque du Soleil in person and up close.
This show is scheduled at the O’Connell Center for October 11th, 12th, and 13th. I think the O’Dome will be a great venue for Cirque du Soleil. What a great family event. I booked my tickets and got great seats! If you have seen La Nouba at Downtown Disney, then you’ll want to see this show here in Gainesville. The Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors® has a HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE in full swing. The Realtors® Reaching Out program is collecting items to benefit The Bread of The Mighty Food Bank
With all the buy-one, get-one sales at our local grocery stores, please keep the Holiday Food Drive in mind when you shop over the next couple of weeks. I took advantage of some sales at my local PUBLIX and have started a collection box at our RE/MAX Professionals office.
We'll be collecting through December 9th. We are collecting perishables and canned goods.

I just heard about the inaugural TIOGA JAZZFEST that is happening on November 14th.
While driving home today & enjoying the SmoothJazz on my radio @ 100.9, they broke for a commercial announcing this new event. I have to say I am so impressed that the Tioga Town Center has become a venue for family entertainment!
When I got home, I started to do some online research to learn more about the "Inaugural" TIOGA JAZZFEST. I found a press release on the JazzReview web site. This sounds great!
I hope this turns into an annual event !!

Our Gainesville Raceway is the proud home to the SEASON OPENER for the NHRA Racing Season. March 12th -15th will be a thrill event with 4 days of packed events. Tickets are on sale now! And you can't get a hotel room in this area as the race teams will start rolling into town a week before the event begins! Loyal race fans book their hotel rooms a year in advance!

Make plans to attend this Traditional Karate Tournament here in Gainesville!
Our 2007 event hosted over 200 athletes from Florida and Georgia. Please visit their website for Registration Information if you plan to compete.
