gainesville life: 3 Reasons Gainesville Florida rocks! - 09/10/10 12:16 AM
3 Reasons Gainesville Florida rocks! Ever since we moved to Gainesville Florida two years ago, I began my quest to become its Number 1 fan! There is SO MUCH to love about living in Gainesville! Here are the top 3 reasons Gainesville is a GREAT place to live! 1) The WEATHER ... well, except for the summer, which is akin to leaving your oven door open and parking yourself in front of it for the day. But if the worst thing Gainesville weather has to offer is summer heat paired with wilting humidity, no problem! I'd much rather deal with

gainesville life: Gainesville homeowner finds squirrel in toilet - 01/24/10 03:15 PM
Gainesville homeowner finds squirrel in toilet Several weeks ago, while I was in holiday elf mode delivering gifts to my customers, I was regaled with the freakiest homeowner tale I have heard in quite a while. Seems that my buddy (let's just call her OMG) got the surprise of her life coming home from work one day. She explained that they keep all of the toilet lids closed in the house as a babyproofing measure. Returning home from work, she went to use the bathroom, lifted up the lid, and saw some lifeless furry thing

gainesville life: Another great thing about living in Gainesville! - 11/09/09 10:42 PM
Another great thing about living in Gainesville! Located smack dab in the middle of North Florida, Gainesville is close to all kinds of nature-related activities. My favorite one, by FAR, is kayaking. Athletically challenged to the point of not even being able to throw a Frisbee, I have always made it my mission to avoid all sports-related activities that did not involve sitting down. Especially after the U.S. Olympic Committee delivered a stinging defeat to sitters everywhere when they declined to make lounging an olympic event. gainesville life: Gator Football Survival Guide - 08/08/09 12:16 AM
Anybody who knows me at all knows that I am missing the sports strand on my DNA. However, you can't live in the backyard of The Swamp without learning a few things mighty darn quick: Royal blue and orange make a fine color combo....especially when worn together. "Who's Urban Meyer?" is not a good thing to ask around these parts. If planning a trip out to eat the night before game day (and it does not matter whether the game is home or away), you MUST wear orange....or blue....or both. Otherwise you're going to look like a Seminolian
