An analysis of home sales in Haile Plantation - Gainesville FL for the first five months of 2010 reveals that more homes are selling in Haile Plantation this year than they did last year. The homebuyer tax credit most likely helped boost the number of homes sold in Haile Plantation in 2010.
Although more homes have sold in Gainesville's Haile Plantation community in 2010 than at this point last year, it should be noted that the median sales price of homes fell during this same period.

Homes ranged from a 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home listed for $239,000 to a 4 bedroom/4 bathroom home listed for $409,900. During that same period, two homes in Haile Plantation went under contract. Located just five miles from the University of Florida and Shands Hospital, the award-winning New Urbanist community of Haile Plantation features "A" rated schools, a Gary Player signature golf course, and miles of walking and biking trails.

One of the things that always bugged me when we'd be moving somewhere new was all the digging around I ended up doing to find pics of local areas to give me a "feel" for what those places were like before we could make our exploratory trip to visit. Of course, I suppose this was back before the invention of fire.....so I could be dating myself. Anyway....with the advent of YouTube, all that has changed.....and I wanted to make sure that our community, Haile Plantation, was represented!
