I was working with the MLS today to get some of the newest numbers and see how things are looking. The data is as follows: 605 residential listings in Galveston 48 pending _________ 557 active 53 sold in last 30 days 37 expired in last 30 days 103 new listings last 30 days or: 138 sold/pending/expired in last 30 days vs 103 new listings... net change - 35 properties off the market. My take: It looks great! Galveston's best time to buy vacation/resort homes is in the off season, but its also our "slow" time. Prices have come down significantly and

galveston realtors: New Office pt 3 and new REALTORS - 12/19/08 09:45 AM
The phone lines are going in early next week and the sheet rock starts mid next week! The office is coming along. The roof is being completed this week!! Its been a long time coming, but with the new office and the extra space we need more REALTORS. So, we have taken on 2 new agents this week. We hope to get them posting on Active rain ASAP. Azalea has been selling Bayou Vista for years and is very successful. Erin was working as an appraiser and knows his values! We will keep you posted on the progress, but we still

Cedar Lawn has long been a great Galveston neighborhood. Unique to the Island, it is one of only a few "enclosed" areas. Typically Galveston's neighborhood are just different streets and fade into one another. However, Cedar lawn has only one way in and one way out. The architecture is as unique as the neighborhood. The homes vary from small to HUGE, quaint to elaborate, some have garage apartments, while others have pools or green houses. The oak lined streets are very private and have a safe "small town" feel. It is a close knit community and would work for many types
