I'm baaaaaaack! Contrary to the rumors, I haven't died of a caffeine or chocolate overdose. I'm just crazy busy and haven't had much time to blog but, I did manage to put together a new wallpaper/calendar for you guys to use in September.

Hi guys, my brain needs a serious rest from writing tutorials and I have a busier than busy month coming up so right now, I'm taking some "me time" to relax, have fun, eat like a pig and watch hockey. ;-)

Watching the news these days, if all we look at is the headlines, it seems like the world is falling apart with various wars going on, economies in shambles, banks failing and companies laying people off faster than you can spell pink slip.

For awhile now I've been thinking about a way to try and give extra exposure to some of the very talented and inspiring members we have here in the Rain.
I believe that any of us who have been fortunate enough to build a following, also have a responsibility to use that "stage" to shine the light on some of our fellow Rainers, introduce newbies to the crowd, expose talent, etc...

Earlier this week a friend of mine sent me a link to a very cool site that she uses to find photos for her blog as well as her print and promo material.
The site is PDphoto.org and what I really like about PD Photo aside from the beautiful pics you can download royaly free, most of the photos are also available for commercial use(brochures, etc...). So if you're looking for some nice photography shots to use on your blog or elsewhere, check them out.

something I accidentally stumbled upon while searching thru stuff on Active Rain this past weekend was how important it is to remember that this is a social network. When I signed up on AR last year, I was totally ignorant about commenting or how powerful commenting could be.
