We Do Have a Bit of a Snowstorm. - 01/05/08 07:50 PM

Our house around 2:00 pm this afternoon. We already had more than a foot of snow from yesterday. Here' we are at about 6,500 feet above sea level. Heavenly Mountain behind where Maxene took this photo will like get more than 10 feet of fresh new powder. As you can see, it was snowing when this shot was taken.

This shot of our house was taken about 4:00 pm when Maxene took Spanky out for his afternoon bush inspection. He loves the snow, and as you can surmise, there's plenty of it.

We are most grateful for the great year that 2007 was. (LAKE TAHOE REAL ESTATE BLOG) Sometimes we wonder if we are thankful enough, grateful enough for the life we live. It feels like it goes by so fast sometimes, that things that happen are gone before we appreciate them enough. We think about this sometimes, and as soon as we do, it slows us down, makes us calm. We breath deeper, get quiet, reflective. Then we realize our gratitude. Get in touch with it. Savor it.  It makes us feel better.

What, Existing Home Sales Rise? What Does it Mean? - 01/02/08 11:14 AM
A Hint of Stability? That's good news, but there's been good news for Buyers for some time now. (LAKE TAHOE REAL ESTATE BLOG) Sales of existing homes rose by .4% (that's "point four percent") in November, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported today. (See below for more on South Lake Tahoe.)
The report also indicates sales of existing homes are down 20% in the past year and are down 31% from a peak of  two years ago. See full story.
