If you like antiques, and Victorian houses.....then you are going to have to visit Lillian’s Antique Shop, located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The magnificent, two-story, house is a Colonial Revival Queen Anne Style cottage, built in 1905.  The house is located one block from the historic Greenbrier Resort.       On Friday, October 9th, the Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) held A Taste of New Orleans culinary benefit at Blackwell's Restaurant in Lewisburg, WV, hosted by Mary Cowan and Ouida Davis. My Halloween Decoration - A Pumpkin Topiary- Have You Created Any? - 10/12/09 10:08 AM
 
On my way to work on Wednesday, I thought of a great idea for a Halloween decoration for my front porch.  So, on my way home I stopped at Lowes and purchased, 3 plastic pumpkin heads, and a 4-foot pole.  I cut holes in all three pumpkins (top and bottom).  I didn't make the holes too big, as I wanted the pumpkin to stay secure. I put the pumpkins on the pole (bottom, middle and top) and secured the pole with bricks in a flower pot container.  Then added some green vines around the pole and pumpkins.....my pumpkin topiary. Taste of Our Town Fall Festival in Lewisburg, WV - 10/11/09 11:03 PM
The 25th annual  "Taste of Our Town"  (TOOT) was held on Saturday, October 10, 2009, from 11:00 am-3:00 pm.  This event is a benefit for Carnegie Hall.   Residents and visitors from across the region gathered on the historic streets of downtown Lewisburg to sample delicacies from local restaurants, civic clubs and organizations.
