active rain: I Surpassed My Goal - A good day to just enjoy the RAIN - 07/05/09 02:49 PM

I am sitting in my office reading some great posts on Active Rain today. The weather is not cooperating today. It has been raining since early morning.....really it has been rainy all day, not drizzling, but a good steady rain.
The picnic we were planning to attend was cancelled...so yes I'll spend the day inside. But, it gives me a chance to get some small chores completed, like:
Make some real estate calls; review a contract I wrote on July 4th to ensure it is complete with no errors. Read and comment on Active Rain posts...perhaps write a post (which is … (6 comments)

active rain: Two Reasons Why My Open House was a Success - 04/22/09 10:03 PM

I held an open house on Saturday, April 18th the same day the Third Annual Chocolate Festival in Lewisburg, West Virginia was being held. It was a hectic morning, putting up open house signs, and trying to find some extra signs for the main roads. I was really hoping to go to the festival, but time was against me.
The open house was a success for two reasons: (1) we received an offer from a couple attending the open house; and, (2) the mortgage specialist signed on to be a member of active rain.
