charity: I Have Never Seen So Many Christmas Presents| The Greenbrier Continues to Give - 11/19/11 01:26 AM
I have never seen so many Christmas presents in one place. A few weeks ago I wrote a post on the The Greenbrier’s Create a Dream Tree for Kids and Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier, is making this a reality. When I went to the Greenbrier tonight for dinner and to see the Christmas Musical, I was so surprised to see thousands of wrapped gifts of toys and apparel stacked high and going up both staircases to the next floor. It was a sight to behold. The Greenbrier volunteers have been busy wrapping these gifts and it is estimated (15 comments)
Paying It Forward – Donating Shoes for Soles4Souls Every October, the Lewisburg United Methodist Church observes Children’s Sabbath, and selects a mission project that adults and children can work on together to make the world a better place. This past Sunday The Lewisburg United Methodist Church has started a shoe drive to benefit Soles4Souls collection. Doing the service, the congregation was asked to donate shoes. The shoes will be sent to an impoverished area where shoes are a luxury. As partners for the shoe charity, Lewisburg United Methodist Church and Soles4Souls, Inc., challenges others to become a force (26 comments)
Realogy Corporation, parent company of Coldwell Banker, today announced a campaign to raise funds through the Realogy Charitable Foundation to support the victims of the catastrophic earthquake that devastated Haiti on Jan. 12. The Realogy Charitable Foundation will distribute all funds raised by employees, franchisees, sales associates, vendors, partners, friends of Realogy and the general public directly to the American Red Cross International Response Fund. “Our hearts go out to the people of Haiti, and we want to do all we can to support the international relief efforts in the wake of this natural disaster,” said Richard A.
