My Christmas Tree This year we decided to put the Christmas Tree in the Dining Room since it is located at the front of the house and easy to see the tree from the road. We decorated the tree the day before Thanksgiving since we were spending Thanksgiving Day with a sister in Athens, WV. So I took my time decorating the house inside and outside. Here is my tree....

I have never seen so many Christmas presents in one place. A few weeks ago I wrote a post on the The Greenbrier’s Create a Dream Tree for Kids and Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier, is making this a reality. When I went to the Greenbrier tonight for dinner and to see the Christmas Musical, I was so surprised to see thousands of wrapped gifts of toys and apparel stacked high and going up both staircases to the next floor. The United Way of Greenbrier County "Holiday by Design" fundraiser was held December 7th as part of the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours hosted by the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau located in downtown Lewisburg, WV.
The event was from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM with hors d'oeuvres, drinks, live music, and a chance to bid on your favorite Christmas tree for the United Way of Greenbrier County "Holiday by Design" fundraiser. Area businesses, schools, nonprofits and civic organizations participated in this fundraiser.

HOW DO YOU RATE YOUR DECORATED CHRISTMAS TREE? I ask mysef this question each year. Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, I begin to prepare for decorating the tree. And, it never fails, I start to get cranky, mad, and YES almost in tears, trying to get the tree to look like the department stores. Well, this year, I came pretty close.
