Curb Appeal Improved!
My new listing at 112 Shady Oaks Lane in Lewisburg, WV, was lacking in some curb appeal. As noticed in the photo below, the logs in the front of the house were NOT a pretty sight.
For better curb appeal, I suggested moving the hostas that were hidden by the bushes on the side of house to the front and adding some flowers. Also to replace the window well covers as they were cracked. The result was definitely an improvement.

The Annual Greenbrier County Board of Realtors Christmas Party and Installation Luncheon was held today at Blackwell’s Restaurant. Lunch was provided by City National Bank. The food, as usual, was superb! The meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance...this was so nice and made me especially proud to be a Realtor. After the pledge, I heard an Amen from someone. Throughout the luncheon, door prizes were given out to the lucky winners. Yes, it’s true…this morning at the office, Terri Johnson, owner of Coldwell Banker Stuart and Watts in Lewisburg, WV, was handcuffed and taken to “jail”…..that is the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) of West Virginia. She was indeed doing time for MDA. After arriving at MDA, Terri started making calls to post bail.
The MDA of WV performed 52 lockups in Lewisburg today. The “jailbirds” are mini fundraisers. To “get out of jail” each volunteer will try to raise $2,400 by calling friends and family to donate to the MDA cause. … (7 comments)

The West Virginia Housing Development Fund is offering 30-year, fixed-rate loans at 3.5 percent interest to low- and middle-income home buyers who qualify for the program. A $35 million bond issue will pay for the program. The money is expected to make about 280 loans available at this low interest rate.

Although for June 2009 there were 21 more Active Listings then in 2010; New listings were VERY close with only one additional new listing in 2010; and Inventory was lower in 2010 compared to 2009.

for the months of March and April, 2010
The below charts depicts a good month of sold listings in April as compared to March listings. There was an increase of five listings sold in April 2010 than in March 2010. The list and sold volumes were much higher in April. Also, there was an increase in list and sold prices in April 2010. Note that listings were on the market less days...hopefully a good sign for the summer.
