dianne beale: Thanks to Dianne Beale and First National Bank of West Virginia - 08/18/09 11:32 AM

I had a closing on Thursday, August 6, which I would not be able to attend as I was having surgery at the UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. The selling agent was from my office, and had informed me everything was ready and not to worry.
The following week I found out that there was a BIG problem. The lender for this loan, Taylor, Bean and Whittaker, a national mortgage lending company, had to cease all origination operations effective immediatetly, and would not be able to close or fund any mortgage loans currently pending in its pipeline.

After leaving my real estate office today, I stopped by the First National Bank to talk with Loan Officer, Diane Beale. I was reminiscing about the first day I met Dianne, and decided to write a blog about our first meeting, and my terrible, stressful, settlement day.
When applying for a mortgage, one of the first things you are asked is "What type of loan do you want"?
Well, here is what happened to me. We had finished building our home in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Now the construction loan had to be turned into a regular mortgage. I started looking around … (3 comments)
