Starting on April 3, 2018, United Airlines operated by SkyWest offers flights from Lewisburg, W.Va. to Washington-Dulles International Airport and Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
Flights aren't the only big change at the airport. A newly remodeled terminal and restaurant featuring items made in West Virginia, are also a major upgrade. With a new service provider and access to two major airport hubs, tourism will also increase in the area.

On Thursday, June 10, 2010, Delta and The Greenbrier launched daily, non-stop air service to Greenbrier Valley Airport from Atlanta and New York's LaGuardia launching year-round flights from two of the nation's largest cities to The Greenbrier on Delta Air Lines.
Jim Justice, chairman and owner of The Greenbrier; Governor Joe Manchin III; Senator Jesse Guills; and, Betty Crooksjanks, president of the Greenbrier County Commission along with numerous local business and political leaders were present at the airport to celebrate the first flight and welcome passengers. The Greenbrier Valley Airport is a public airport located three three miles from the City of Lewisburg, off of Route 219 North. It is the closet major airport to The Greenbrier. The airport is owned by the Greenbrier County Airport Authority, used for general aviation, it has only one runway and is known as ............."the Longest Runway in West Virginia."
