Each week, approximately 3 million people worldwide tune into National Public Radio as Ira Glass presents his hit radio show, This American Life.
On May 10 at 8 p.m., the show will flip formats as it hits the stage in New York City and is beamed live into theatres across the United States including onto the big screen at Greenbrier Valley Theatre.


The show, entitled “Things You Can’t Do on the Radio,” will serve as a celebration of visuals and performances including music, dance, comedy, video and more.

One of the most popular musicals of all-time is set to hit the stage at Greenbrier Valley Theatre as the Youth Education Program presents Grease.
The show opens at 7:30 p.m. on March 23 and continues March 24, 28, 29, 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m. Two matinee performances will take place March 25 and April 1 at 3 p.m.

The Greenbrier is offering a fun way to support local non-profit organizations through its Casino Charity Weekend, March 16-17.  Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT) is one of four local organizations participating in the event, which allows individuals to purchase weekend casino passes for $20, a fee that goes straight to the theatre.
Todd Fishon, Vice President for Casino Operations at the Greenbrier, says the weekend offers a unique and worthwhile opportunity for non-hotel guests to visit the casino while supporting a worthy cause.

What a fun time my husband and I had Friday evening at the Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg, WV.  We saw the hilarious satire, "Completely Hollywood, (abridged),"  by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor.   It is a funny and speedy take on Hollywood's highs and lows.
"Completely Hollywood" plunges through celluloid history as three actors condense 197 movies into 100 minutes of riotous fun. The three actors.... Kim Morgan Dean, Joe Lehman, and Tommy Schoffler are simply FANTASTIC!

The Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the State Professional Theater of West Virginia, will hold their 17th Annual Art Auction and Benefit on Saturday, June 25, 2011.  This is the theatre's most important fundraiser.
 

 
 
The annual Art Auction features donated artwork donated by local and regional artists.  The event begins at 6:00 pm with a preview reception to allow artists and patrons to mingle and preview the art before the sale. Wine and hors d'ovres will be served.  Doors to the auction will open at 7:00 pm.
