I have never seen so many Christmas presents in one place. A few weeks ago I wrote a post on the The Greenbrier’s Create a Dream Tree for Kids and Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier, is making this a reality. When I went to the Greenbrier tonight for dinner and to see the Christmas Musical, I was so surprised to see thousands of wrapped gifts of toys and apparel stacked high and going up both staircases to the next floor. Jim Justice and Jerry West have joined together with the Miss West Virginia Scholarship Organization for the Jerry West- Jim Justice Invitational basketball game.
Date: Saturday, April 24, Justice will coach the Miss West Virginia contestants and West will coach the Lady Spartan Alumni Greats.
Time: 7:30 p.m. Location: Greenbrier East High School gymnasium. Ticket Information: Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students (ages 7-17). Children 6 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the school or reserved by calling 304-647-6464, extension 37.

Well, I did what I said I was going to do....shop til I drop at the Greenbrier's Spectacular Retail Sale on Thursday, March 25,.......fashion merchandise, high end giftware, jewelry, books, furniture and home décor was discounted by 70% or more. Ladies, men’s and children’s apparel, as well as items from many of the resort’s 15 retail shops, were included in this sale. I bought some beautiful home décor items and gifts for my newborn grand nephew.

The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce annual meeting was held at The Greenbrier on Tuesday, March 16 and what a delightful event. My husband and I enjoyed the evening, meeting old and new friends. Over 300 attended this event. Reception was at 6:30 PM, and program and dinner was at 7:00 PM.
Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier, was presented the award for "2010 Business Leader of the Year". He was introduced by Mary Kellan Curry, a Greenbrier East Ladies Star Basketball player. The Greenbrier's premier "Prime 44 West steakhouse, honoring West Virginia's native son and famed NBA player Jerry West opens on schedule today, October 1. I was invited with the news media today to visit the new restaurant and the Tavern Casino. What an experience this was for me -- I met Jerry West and the new owner of the Greenbrier, Jim Justice. It was a known fact that Marriott International, Inc., was really interested in buying the resort. But, today we heard different.....a West Virignia businessman buys the Greenbrier Resort, located in White Sulphur Springs, WV. Jim Justice, Lewisburg, WV, is the new owner of The Greenbrier Resort.
