Pending sales were down by 3 for 2012
Active Listing were down by 29 for 2012
New listings up by 2 in 2012
Average Days on the Market were higher in 2012 by 134 more days

lewisburg market report: Lewisburg, WV, Market Report - 04/19/10 01:35 AM

Lewisburg, West Virginia, and the General Lewis Inn are named after General Andrew Lewis. In 1774, General Andrew Lewis arriving at Fort Savannah, lead pioneer soldiers north to defeat Chief Cornstalk at the Battle of Point Pleasant. In 1908. the 60th Congress of the U.S. declared the Battle of Point Pleasant the official first battle of the American Revolution. The General Lewis Inn, is located on the site of an 1862 Civil War Battle.

Civil War and Revolutionary history lives around every corner of our historically preserved town.

Below are the Lewisburg, West Virginia and Greenbrier County's Real Estate Market Report. The charts depict year-to-year comparisons for residential properties only:
(Three year comparisons starting 1/1/2007 to 12/30/2009)

New River Community & Technical College, Lewisburg, WV

Lewisburg statistics: For 2009, there is a slight decrease in the number of residential houses sold, as well as a decrease in the average sale price.

Greenbrier County statistics

For the Greenbrier County the number of residential houses sold slightly decreased; but the average sale price was up from 2008
