I had the opportunity to visit the Pittis Pottery and meet the potter, Diana Pittis. The hour I spent with her was fun, educational and yes of course, I bought some pottery... it is mountain made!


Diana Pittis received her Degree in Ceramics from The Ecole Des Arts Decoratifs in Geneva, Switzerland in 1976. She was a studio potter for many years in California, before moving to West Virginia in 1993.  She creates her unique and award winning works in her private  … (12 comments)

The Pottery has moved to the Art Colony on Alabama Row at the Greenbrier
 
 
The Pottery opened in 2005 at The Greenbrier and was located in a small white building.  In January 2011, The Pottery moved to the Art Colony Shops on Alabama Row located atop a hill that overlooks the Springhouse at The Greenbrier.
 

  The view from this spot is awesome anytime of the year!
