IT STARTS TOMORROW! The Greenbrier Classic Today was the first day for some of the volunteers to start working at The Greenbrier Classic event. Since my husband was scheduled to work a few hours today, I went along with him. While the volunteers for the "Sponsor Group" were meeting, I took advantage to walk with them and take some photos. Last minute preparations were being performed, from landscaping to cleaning, last touches for the sky boxes to food and beverages, ensuring TVs and leaderboards are working, etc., everyone was buzzing around like bees to be ready for

A Beautiful Day to Check Out The Greenbrier's Grounds While visiting The Greenbrier today, I was taking photos of the grounds for the Greenbrier Classic which is scheduled to start on Monday, July 26,.....everyone was busy getting ready for the PGA golf event. On my tour of the grounds, I stopped to take some photos of the beautiful flowers.....and of course the beautiful "Golf Tees" sculpture. While visiting the North House Museum in Lewisburg, I asked about the small building located in the General Andrew Lewis Park. Now, I have driven past this area for the last four years and never stopped. So, after receiving a brief history lesson I drove to the park to take some photos. The Lewis Spring, located at the General Andrew Lewis Park, is a little historical stone building near the Greenbrier County Courthouse. The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce annual meeting was held at The Greenbrier on Tuesday, March 16 and what a delightful event. My husband and I enjoyed the evening, meeting old and new friends. Over 300 attended this event. Reception was at 6:30 PM, and program and dinner was at 7:00 PM. Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier, was presented the award for "2010 Business Leader of the Year". He was introduced by Mary Kellan Curry, a Greenbrier East Ladies Star Basketball player. If you like antiques, and Victorian houses.....then you are going to have to visit Lillian’s Antique Shop, located in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The magnificent, two-story, house is a Colonial Revival Queen Anne Style cottage, built in 1905. The house is located one block from the historic Greenbrier Resort. The owner, Linda Kothe, first used this property as a Bed and Breakfast and antique shop. Tastefully decorated with antiques and collectibles throughout the B&B that were for sale.
