The North House was built in 1820 and is a restored house museum located in Academy Park, the heart of Historic Downtown Lewisburg, WV. The North House was built by John Dunn, a local brick mason who also built several other homes in the area during this period. The bricks used in construction of the house were made of red clay dug from the front lawn and fired in a kiln on the premises. The architect of the home is of the Federal period and is reminiscent of the Adams or early Greek Revival

Plans for building The Bunker at the Greenbrier Resort started in 1956 and was completed in 1962. The Bunker was to be the U.S. Government Relocation facility under the West Virginia Wing of The Greenbrier. In the event of a national emergency, the 112,544 sq. ft. facility would have been activated and used by the US Congress and support staff.
