Aspen, Snowmass, and the Roaring Fork Valley Real Estate. They come here for the Winter and stay here for the Summer. Many people come to Aspen and Snowmass year after year for its world class skiing. Though not as vibrant as the glory days of 2006 and 2007, the Pitkin County (Aspen/Snowmass) market showed signs of a significant rebound in 2010. The Aspen real estate market and Snowmass real estate market is alive and well once again. The total Pitkin County dollar volume was $1.26 billion which was about 18% over the recession-ravaged 2009 sales. In 2008, the first full year of the recession, the total dollar volume was $1.37 billion followed by 2009 at $1.07 billion.
