Below is an example of a new real estate video tour in Little Neck, Long Island. This is not my listing, but it shows that you don't need to have a mansion or million dollar home to have a professional real estate video tour produced.
I think the Little Neck video tour below is an exclusive listing and it's missing some information still, but it is pretty cool that a buyer can now view a video instead of the dizzying 360 tours.

videos: Video Tours discussed at Long Island MLS Tech Fair - 10/21/07 08:01 AM
This past Tuesday I was part of a three person panel that presented information to an audience of about 100 Real Estate agents on the topic of Real Estate Video Tours. I spoke on behalf of Diamond Home Videos, a Long Island based provider of video tours for homes listed on MLS. All these video tours appear on MLS sites and other real estate websites.
The panel included myself, another video tour provider, and Phil from Wellcomemat. We each had about 15 minutes to speak at the podium and then we took questions and answers from the audience.

Just received another e-mail from a Prudential Douglas Elliman agent. SHe got great results from her first video tour that she is doing another for a new listing she just picked up yesterday. The sellers were very impressed that she did a video tour. Much better than the slide shows or other lame 360 tours.

Beware. The virtual tour providers are spreading lies about the video tours. They try to scare Realtors by telling them that the video tours need tremendous bandwidth and that the video tour providers servers will crash. This is absolutely false and slanderous on the part of the virtual tour providers.
A good video tour provider will implement flash (FLV) video on their servers. This format offers a high compression yet gives the video tours a very high quality. My office made the decision to offer for free to it's agents a virtual tour that consists of photos that zoom in and out and pan from side to side. If that's not a step backwards, I don't know what is. In addition these tours are created by the Realtors themselves. They can upload the photos regardless of the quality of the pictures. Here's the kicker, the service is a flat fee of only $125 per year for unlimited tours uploaded.

Another Realtor in my office credits her video tour with helping her sell the home in less than three weeks! The buyers acknowledged that it was the video tour that helped them to make the decision to look at the home and ultimately purchase it. The video tour was created by www.DiamondHomeVideos.com. A few months ago I started doing online Real Estate Video Tours for my listings with amazing results. I am using a company called Diamond Home Videos. The videos appear on my local MLS website and my Realtor's website. For a small fee of $25 the video tours also appear on Realtor.com.
