The day before yesterday I went and spent hours in my canoe traveling from one end of Fishhawk Lake to the other. I took many many photos. What a wonderful day. When I take photos, I like to look at things differently. Take photos with a different "bent" if you will. At one point, I saw this, so I took a series of pictures of it. I didn't change the colors at all. I sharpened it a bit, but otherwise, this is pretty much what I shot. Can you guess what this is?

ActiveRainPhotoBloggerContest-Localism Gone Wild A Realtor Spreads Her Wings. In "spreading my wings", I've been focusing on the whole localism phenomenon which is new to me. Frankly, I didn't know the difference between colloquialism and localism! Colloquialism being informal conversation, localism, according to wikipedia being more about promotion of local history, local culture and local identity. Okay, so we got that straight. For me, it's been about spotlighting businesses in my Fishhawk Lake community and bringing business to them in some manner through my photos and blog posts. That was part one of spreading my wings. I just did something most people don't get to do....especially "in their back yard". Here at Fishhawk Lake,for the last two hours I have gotten to watch a bald eagle hang out in the windy trees with me sitting across the lake watching his morning unfold before me. I had first seen him at 8am and grabbed my binoculars, although, against the green trees, his gorgeous white crown and neck stood out to the naked eye (even though mine are not so good naked anymore).
