Speechless Sunday in Birkenfeld OR With winter, there isn't as much color to photograph here, but driving along the highway, when the sun is setting over farmland and the mist is rising, the stark loneliness tugs at me and I have to stop along the highway and take photos.
This gives rise to a feeling of aloneness...a waiting perhaps. The sun was setting to the left and shone a bit on the tree, giving it its burnished tone. I wonder if trees need to be with others, like humans, wolves and many who need one another, a pack, a grove?

Drive by shooting….got your attention, didn’t I? Well, this one didn’t hurt anybody, but it sure made MY day!
This is a small collection of what I get to see on my drive from Fishhawk Lake in the big city of Birkenfeld Oregon (ha!) to the bigger city of Vernonia Oregon where my real estate office is located.
Mist is located 8 miles from my home on Fishhawk Lake. This was one of my first "shootings".
Right after this home is where Highway 47 goes through Mist and heads into Clatskanie, Oregon.
