You know it's fall when it's Ark-La-Miss Fair time, and that's what starts at 5 p.m. Thursday when the gates open for this year's fair at the Monroe Civic Center. The Ark-La-Miss Fair opens Thursday for an 11-day run on the grounds of the Monroe Civic Center in the arena. The West Monroe Civitan Club sponsors the event each year and the proceeds go to fund the club's civic activities in the Twin Cities. We have such an active arts community in northeast Louisiana, and the Rose Theatre in Bastrop is one of the jewels of the Delta!
