How to write a Grant Proposal to purchase Real Estate
If you are an Investor, Business Person or just someone that wishes to better their own community, you may have thought about obtaining a grant from the Governement.  Or maybe you were not aware of many programs available to persons just like you and me.  These programs are not just for Non Profit orgs.  They can be for profit but you need to think about helping out your local community in doing so.

Did you Know: Closing Costs Vary depending on Location - 05/08/10 03:25 PM
Did you know that Closing costs vary depending on location?       Closing costs, the costs associated with buying or selling a home, can add up. It's wise to get an estimate of how much you're likely to pay in closing costs before you make an offer to buy a home or accept an offer to sell.
Closing costs reduce the amount the seller nets from the sale. Buyers need to know in advance of entering into a home-purchase contract that they have enough cash to cover both the downpayment and closing costs.
Closing costs vary with location. Often who pays … (0 comments)

Web Site Hosting Services - 05/07/10 10:46 PM

My team partner and I are looking at several website hosting companies that provide everything from The hosting of the template to the SEO, IDX integration and other marketing aspects that we could use.

I have spoken to the people at AgentImage.com and we both think that the product they offer looks professional and clean.
I also have been looking into Intagent.com, so any feedback on this site as well would be great.
I am not sure how well the SEO portion of their package is and would like to know if anyone has had the Agent Image Site … (0 comments)

Ghost Writers and your Opinion - 05/06/10 11:54 PM
Ok, I have been working late to come up with good content for some time now.
I like many people get writers block and/or am just to tired or do not have enough time to write new content every week.
I have some questions for my fellow ActiveRainers.
Is it taboo to have or pay for a Ghost writer to come up with content to blog?

I have been contemplating it and feel I would be violating some rule or crossing some line if I were to hire a Ghost Writer.
They say nobody would know since it would be catered to … (6 comments)

Death of a Real Estate Deal - 05/06/10 11:22 PM
Death of a Real Estate Deal   Take a proactive approach to buying or selling a home. By anticipating what could go wrong with your real estate transaction, you can take care of potential problems before they derail the deal.
Years ago, inspection issues were the likely culprit if a home sale fell apart. Defects were uncovered during the buyers' inspections that weren't known to them before they went into contract to buy the property. Sellers can reduce their exposure to transaction failure by ordering presale inspections before the property goes on the market.
Many of today's buyers use FHA financing, backed … (1 comments)

Great Tips for avoiding surprise defects - 05/06/10 05:31 PM
A homebuyer in the hills above Oakland, Calif., recently closed on a home that matched her wish list almost perfectly, which is as good as it gets. Before closing, the new home was inspected and no major defects were discovered. The buyer had plans for upgrading, starting with removing all the wall-to-wall carpets. But when the carpets were pulled up, the house began to smell of cat urine. The new owner called her agent, who recommended several people who have experience eradicating pet odor. Within a week, the odor was gone; the buyer was happy and continued renovating her new home.Another homebuyer was … (3 comments)
