realtor: Improving Instead of Moving? Where Do You Find Your Contractors? - 09/02/09 10:41 AM
On, HGTV's "Design Star" on Sunday night (August 9, 2009 episode), host Clive Pearse introduced the designers' challenge by saying, "In today's economy, people are not moving, they are improving." He went on to introduce the task of turning two California familes' garages into additional finished living space, therefore adding on to their existing homes and saving them from having to sell and move into larger homes.

Much of our real estate work right now has consisted of advising clients on home improvement projects that will add value and/or space to their existing homes, if they do not want to try to move in the current economy. … (0 comments)

What do REALTORS® and Kleenex Have in Common?                 OR What is the Code of Ethics and How Does it Affect You as a Home Buyer or Seller?

But as with the above examples, not all real estate agents are REALTORS®, just as not all photocopy machines are Xeroxes.
The major difference is the Code of Ethics, … (4 comments)

Call on Your Real Estate Agent to Help You With ALL Your Real Estate Needs! Most people think of calling a REALTOR® at two times in their lives: when they are ready to sell their home and when they are ready to buy a home. In both cases, the REALTOR® is expected to do one main job - show homes.

realtor: November is REALTOR® Designation Awareness Month | Alphabet Soup - What are All Those Letters After Your Name? - 11/15/07 08:39 PM
WHAT DO ALL THOSE LETTERS AFTER YOUR NAME MEAN? Did you know that November is REALTOR® Designation Awareness Month?
As REALTORS®, education is an important part of our careers, because it enables us to keep up with our ever-changing, ever-evolving industry. Those little letters can often be confusing to our clientele, however, who may not know a CRS from … (12 comments)

realtor: Atlanta Magazine Puts Positive Spin on Using a REALTOR to Sell Your Home - 07/10/07 06:30 PM

The article I was really interested in (and which I will write an entry on next) was called "Lifting Our Soldier's Spirits: 12 ways you can support our troops" -- with a grandfather and father who are veterans and a brother currently in Iraq, it defintiely caught my eye!
So I flipped through … (26 comments)

I was following link after link reading real estate articles on the Internet tonight and actually came across a *positive* article on Yahoo! Real Estate!
The media is so negative toward real estate agents - I am so sick of seeing segments on the Today show, Good Morning America, etc. bashing Realtors and our business in general - so I was very pleased to see this article:
101 Reasons to Consider a Real Estate Agent: Appreciating the Numerous Steps an Agent Takes for Homeowners
