Last fall, for our "Third Annual Trick or Treat for the Troops," we sent five deployed U.S. soldiers care packages with donations from our generous friends, families, past clients and community. Each year, we've been so pleased to note that the donations have increased steadily, despite the downturn of the economy - proving that our troops are as much on everyone's minds as ever.
Last week, we were so honored to receive a special package from on of our care package recipients, Captain Jonathan R. Poyourow, who received his packages in Afghanistan. Inside the box was a beautiful United States flag, … (4 comments)

support the troops: Want to Send a Soldier a Care Package? Visit AnySoldier.com Today! - 12/20/07 06:04 PM
It may be too late to send a package to a soldier (or anyone, for that matter!) and have it reach them by Christmas, but our troops appreciate care packages throughout the year!
Started in August 2003 by Sergeant Brian Horn, an Army Infantry Soldier with the 173rd Airborne Brigade while he was in the Kirkuk area of Iraq, to help care for his soldiers, AnySoldier.com is a great resource for anyone interested in sending a care package to a soldier, but may not have a name and address to do so. support the troops: Our Pilgrimmage to the Post Office | Mailing Care Packages to the Troops | Heartwarming Story from the Post Office! (Part 2) - 11/30/07 03:48 PM
I want to share a heartwarming story from the post office last week.
We were mailing our care packages to the troops from our "Trick or Treat for the Troops" holiday care package drive, and we met three lovely people who made our day.
First, our postal worker was trying to help us decide if we wanted to ship our packages priority or not. It was going to cost substantially more to go priority because most of the boxes were between 40 and 50 pounds. We were pretty sure they would arrive by Christmas, since we were mailing them before Christmas, but we had technically … (4 comments)

We packed up the boxes last week, with the help of a client and her two daughters who needed community service hours for their school. Then today, with the help of our preferred lender, Jim Scheu of Greater Atlanta Financial Services, we loaded up our cars (and his truck) with 17 very big, very heavy (some over 50 pounds) boxes of … (2 comments)

Well, here's another way for you and me to support our troops and thank them for their service to our country. And it comes from Xerox:
Simply visit the website LetsSayThanks.com and pick out a thank you card. Xerox will then print it and send it to a soldier currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some … (4 comments)
