Why I Like A Small Sensor Camera Part VII (DMC FZ-18) - 07/25/10 04:35 PM
I was standing in my yard the other day with my Panasonic DMC FZ 18 and remembered why I like it so well.  I took these three pictures in my backyard in Virginia Beach without moving or changing lens.  They were done in automatic mode.  It is truely an amazing camera that starts at 28mm and goes way out to about as far as one can see.

My Weed Is Feeding Something In Virginia Beach - 07/25/10 04:09 PM
I have a weed in my backyard in Virginia Beach that comes back every year,  I keep it because it feeds the birds berries in the fall and winter.  My yard always has birds in it.  This year something is feeding on it at night.  I never see them during the day.  I suspect is the catapillars that feed on my citris plant next to it.  I will probably move it next year.  The citris plant doesn't get ate nearly as bad so I am not sure.

Suffolk and Chesapeake are both in the Money Top 100 for 2010.  I won't tell you where they end up but you can read for yourself at CNNMoney.com  I don't live in either city but I do sell real estate in both cities and have friends there also.  They use a lot of criteria and also a lot guru stuff I think.

Virginia Beach To Purchase INDIGO DUNES!!! - 07/14/10 10:51 PM
Virginia Beach along with several conservation groups are planning to purchase INDIGO DUNES.  This is the last "wild" major tract along the Lynnhaven River and should have been purchased a long time ago.  This area has oyster beds, a maritime forest and wetlands all within its 122 acres. 
The land was bought several years ago by L. M. Sandler and Sons for $30 million with Wells Fargo holding a loan for $19.4 million (ouch).  They were going to put over 1000 homes on the property.  The city will ante up about $5 million from its open space fund to pay for … (2 comments)

Virginia Beach Is Greener Today - 07/03/10 02:38 PM
Virginia Beach is greener today because the state has banned phosphates in dishwasher and other household cleaners (Maryland and Pennsylvania have also joined the ban).  The law banning the phosphates was actually passed in 2008 but the state had to give manafacturers two years to reformulate the cleaners.
