"Tis the Season!" Will You Help? - 11/30/09 12:27 PM

I'm not usually one to wear causes on my sleeve for everyone to see ...
unless I deem it truly important or something that will undeniably assist in positive change or action.

I just read (again) that donations and contributions for the needy during this holiday season are way down across our nation.  Understandably so, as fewer people and businesses are capable of giving as they have in the past.  Who within our industry does not understand stand that?

Priority Challenge! - 11/20/09 04:28 PM
This was such good advice that I just had to make it available again with the hopes that more will see it!   The advice is simple ... but hard to train yourself to do.  Nevertheless ... worth following and sticking to.

Figuring a budget for holiday spending and sticking to it isn't always easy, but maintaining a level head regarding expenditures protects your finances and credit ratings down the road.  … (4 comments)

Holiday Newsletters! The gift that keeps on giving ... - 11/19/09 04:25 PM

This last week or two I've been planning and writing my upcoming Holiday Newsletter.  My wife and I work together on this effort and have   a great time while doing so.
I mail an actual print newsletter about every other month to all those within my database.  Attorneys, accountants, mortgage customers, realtors, friends, relatives, and more are all recipients.  Typically the articles featured within this marketing piece are of an informative nature or offer up assistance on mortgage lending, home buying/selling, financial, or home care needs.

Mom's Watching! Don't Ever Forget! - 11/02/09 01:24 PM

Last night I happened to catch a blog posted by Eric Hempler (Keller Williams Realty).  I thought the subject he touched upon was worth commenting on and I did so.  I later decided it also was worthy of a     follow-up blog of my own today.
Eric's article noted the placement and questionable content of a recent Facebook posting by someone he knew.  Seems that he thought that this particular posting, and others like it, might prove hard to explain or embarassing in the future for the author(s).  He questioned whether it could prove damaging to their business or their … (17 comments)
