A Great and Easy Idea to Make a Seller's Curb Appeal "Pop"! - 04/29/10 04:00 PM
My wife and I met when we both worked together at a Savings and Loan in the mid to late 70's. She was the secretary to the president of the S&L and processor for the mortgage loan department. I was a mortgage officer, appraiser, and branch manager ... sort of a jack-of-all-trades. Back then, especially in a small community, that was normal and expected. We ended-up getting married ... and besides taking my lovely bride to a NHL hockey game on our honeymoon (an obvious hint as to what marriage to me was going to truly be like),

Credit Scores Down! Will Prospective Buyers Be Denied? - 04/22/10 06:49 PM
I have been in contact and working with a prospective client for well over a year while he and his wife were tackling some credit issues. This couple took it upon themselves to gear-up their home search once again and have actually found a property they are interested in purchasing. After being in the works for so long a time, I obviously had to run an updated credit report to start the purchase process again. To my surprise ... because I had been assured that the correct measures were being taken to improve scores ... the new credit scores came in lower. A monthly mortgage payment

Loan Modifications. Foreclosures. Short-sales. Credit Repair. Mortgage Applications. Heartbreak. All reasons to find and establish a relationship with an experienced, knowledgable preferred lender ... - 04/12/10 03:51 PM
It doesn't take long to find and read through multiple heart-breaking and unsettling stories here on ActiveRain regarding the handling of lending transactions, loan modifications, foreclosures, short-sales, credit repair, mortgage applications, and more. It's a sad fact, but true. It also doesn't take long to find and read comments left by agents and brokers on AR expressing their loyalty and thanks for the relationships and trust they have forged with their favorite preferred lenders ... proving the extreme importance of those relationships. I focus this article on the buyers, newer agents, sellers, attorneys, etc. that have not yet found and established that

Buy Some "Paca Poo" to Benefit the Music Booster Club @ St. Charles, IL Central Community Unit School District 301 - 04/09/10 04:12 PM
Never let it be said that the Music Booster Club at Central Community Unit School District 301 leaves any stone ... or manure ... unturned to raise funds. The Club is co-hosting a fundraising event this Saturday, April 10th in which they are selling "fertilizer". The Booster Club is teaming up with Inspiration Farm Alpacas' owner, Jeff Koehl to sell "paca poo" for the second year. Last year's "poo" fundraiser made $600 for the group. This year they hope to do even better. The "paca poo" sold (which is actually a pellet-like dropping) is pure profit, as the farm donates the fertilizer
