Summertime is Finally Here! Do You Have an Emergency Disaster Kit for Your Pet?
Summertime ... It elicits memories and thoughts of great backyard barbeques and family and friends enjoying warm nights on decks and patios. You can almost feel the mist and cool water of lawn sprinklers and swimming pools. Taste the icy-cold drinks.
Summertime is "fun in the hot sun" and "making great memories while wearing flip-flops" ... But summertime can also be the season of natural disasters ...
Tornadoes, flooding, hurricanes, wildfires ... they most commonly rear their ugly heads during hotter summer months. Over the last few months, because of the COVID-19 Crisis, the need (8 comments)
Our son, John, and his family recently added a new member to our family ... Lily. A sweet playful beautiful black puppy.
Lily is now Marilyn's and my "furry grandchild" and is quickly establishing her place in our lives. I often find pup treat crumbs in my coat pockets these days.
In the pic here, Lily is sleeping on her favorite (15 comments)

Millennials and Boomers lead the way in growth in dog ownership? There are many health benefits to be found for all those dogs (and their owners) during daily dog walks and playtime. But dogs receive benefits from playing with other dogs too. Pups are very social creatures. They run and play harder (7 comments)

Lyn Sims (Schaumburg Real Estate, Northwest Suburbs, Re/Max Suburban) offers some very valuable information here for pet owners in the processing of selling their home to ponder ... or for those already on the move. We need to remember, the pets are moving too, so some care and pre-planning is needed to make their travel and transition to the new home as safe and stress-free as possible. Follow Lyn's great advice, and you'll accomplish just that. This is a great post to print up and keep handy ... or to pass on to clients. Thanks Lyn! Gene
