Brentwood California Loves the Stockton Ports - 04/17/11 01:21 PM

Living in Brentwood is a great experience we are only about 30 minutes from Professional Baseball.
Last night the Stockton Ports of the Single A California League played the Modesto Nuts at their fantastic Stadium that sets right on the river.
It was a youth Baseball night and Brentwood Pony League was out in force.  All the kids were able to parade around the field in their uniforms.  Afterwords there were fireworks. 
Minor league baseball is a lot of fun and the Ports Stadium is very family and fan friendly.  I feel very comfortable taking my kids there.  It seats … (2 comments)

When you hear about 100% financing be careful.  In fact be careful about any financing that sounds too good to be true.  There are deals and ways to do things but each one has a catch.  This post is an example.

You never get more back than you put in, in fact you never get 100%.

Corbin Takes the Mound - 04/03/11 01:23 PM
As any one that reads about my kids knows I keep them active in sports.  Much to my sorry only one has shown a real aptitude for Baseball.
Corbin is 12 and a great left handed baseball player.  He plays first base and outfield.  He has just started to pitch. He plays in the Continental Little League in Walnut Creek.
Saturday 4/2/11 they had an exhibition game against a team from Pittsburg.  He played great at 1st and in center with good at bats.

Utilitarian and Beauty
Often time life seems to be at a cross purpose.  When I was younger I wanted nice things, things I could not afford and could not take proper care of.  Now that I am older I still appreciate nice things but am more Utilitarian.
I have learned the value of things and to appreciate frugality.  There is also a certain amount of guilt in going for nice things when I see a world around me with so many needs.
