Antioch Ca Home Prices are what attract First Time Home Buyers and Investors. The 94509 Zip Code is the more established area of Antioch although it does cover some areas of New Home Construction.
These fine Antioch Homes are great opportunities and even though many are older many are great homes. In fact it is much easier to get a single story home in the older areas than the newer areas. Many of the neighborhoods are actually quitter and better kept than the newer areas.

I read an article saying homes sales are down in Contra Costa County. Well if Home Sales are down in Antioch CA it is because there are fewer homes to sell. I have been cautioning for months now that the market is ready to turn. Now it has. Prices on a SF basis are up by 1-2% in a one month period. My reports focus on the Communities of Brentwood CA, Antioch CA, Pittsburg CA, Oakley CA, and Discovery Bay CA.

If you’re thinking of Buying a Home or Selling a Home in Antioch CA, now may be the time to act. This market is still dominated by Bank Owned Homes, but it appears to be nearing the bottom and ready to turn around. These numbers are taken from the MLS on April 22, 2009. I have only looked at Single Family Homes. Some of the numbers vary slightly from Last Month’s Antioch Market Report, probably due to late reporting on some sales.

One of the most frustrating experiences for buyers is when they find a great home at a great price. Frequently these are Bank Owned Homes priced low to attract multiple offers. The bank gets multiple offers then sends out a multiple offer counter asking each potential buyer to put in the highest and best offer they can.
