I read an article saying homes sales are down. Well if Home Sales are down in Pittsburg CA it is because there are fewer homes to sell. This Pittsburg Market Report Focuses on Sales in August of Single Family Homes as compared to Sales in July. The information is pulled for the MLS from between September 15th and September 18th. I have taken a hard look at Short Sales this month since they are dominating the local market. The number of Bank Owned Homes on the market continues to shrink. Last month it stood at 45 and is now down to 42. We may be leveling out.

Pittsburg is one of the most exciting markets in East Contra Costa County. Home Buyers can find excellent Homes in Pittsburg at great prices, but I suspect investors are snatching up the homes at rock bottom prices These numbers are pulled from the MLS on May 11, 2009 and focus on Single Family Homes.
In April 103 homes sold in Pittsburg. The Average Price of those Pittsburg Homes sold was $167,690.00 and the Median Price was $146,0.00. The homes sold spent an average of 63 days on the market and the average price per SF was $101.00.
