I just spent July at my home in Telluride, Colorado. If you haven't been there, you should make it a point to because it is a drop dead gorgeous place about 9,000 ft. up in the Colorado Rockies. Bob Dylan happened to be there while I was and he put on a great concert in our outdoor ampitheater under the stars. As you might expect from Dylan, it was an experience not to be missed - especially since one never kn ows how long the Dude will keep traveling around sharing his songs.

Gordon Gekko, in the movie Wall Street, opines that "Greed captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit." If word coming out of the banking industry these days is any indication, we've been evolving like rabbits lately. At meeting after meeting around the country, bankers and mortgage lenders are gathering to determine what caused the recent miasmal meltdown of the sub-prime loan market. At meeting after meeting they come to the same conclusion - ‘there was just sooo much money to be made.'

I've just returned from the excellent INMAN Connect in San Francisco. I haven't attended for the past 3 or 4 years and the meeting has definitely come a long way - especially for thos of you who remember back to the early ones that were a stretch to last more than a day but still provided great content and provocative subject matter.
While I know Brad's focus is on the technological aspects of the industry, he does branch out into tangential subjects, like this meetings seminar on Media and issues. I wish he could bring his unique approach to bear on the … (0 comments)
