Southwest Healthcare Finally Allowed to Open $80 million in Expansion Facilities - 02/13/11 03:13 PM
In a long-overdue move, the California Department of Public Health has decided that Southwest Healthcare Systems be allowed to open most of its $53 million dollar expansion at the Rancho Springs Medical Center that has been sitting vacant for 2 years. At the same time they will be allowed to open the $24 million expansion at Inland Valley Medical Center sitting vacant since last year.

Did anybody else get a chuckle out of the blatant and transparent attempt by the administration to put a positive spin on jobless numbers yesterday? 
I initially heard two separate radio news reports - the first saying that only about 36,000 jobs had been created in December. Now you and I know that just to break even this country needs to create about 100,000 jobs a month. Anything less than that and we're headed further into negative territory - anything over that and we gradually climb out of the employment hole we've dug. So I'm thinking 36,000 jobs, that means higher unemployment … (17 comments)
