Washington State Parks Winter Recreation Plan - 03/23/07 11:14 AM
Washington State Parks is taking public comments for their Winter Recreation Plan. Whether you are a skier, a snowshoer, a birder, or have a 6 year old who likes to sled, you really should be heard.  In the Leavenworth area we are lucky to have Lake Wenatchee State park which is a winter recreation haven. They groom a number of nordic ski trails - South Park (adjoins Kahler Glen Golf ), North Park, Chiwawa Loop, and the new addition up Nason Ridge. Recently I posted that my website www.IcicleCreekHomes.com had been redesigned. We are really happy with how good it looks and also how easy it is for the consumer to find what they are looking for. The entry has 3 choices right off the bat - contact us, search for properties, or read the blog. Simple and easy.

Wenatchee A Green City- Not so much.. - 03/22/07 10:27 AM
When the Wenatchee World printed an article that said the city was ranked #5 in the country for green cities I was pretty shocked. When I first moved to Leavenworth, I joked with friends from Western Washington that recycling was illegal.
Andy Dappen of WenatcheeOutdoors was pretty shocked too.
 If only it were true. Unfortunately, all I can say about the March 2007 issue of Country Homemagazine that ranked Wenatchee as the fifth greenest city in America is, "What were they smoking?"  writes Andy

I have always been an advocate of using local lenders. They understand the neighborhoods and some of the nuances of rural real estate like septic systems and wells.Sometimes a buyer goes with their own gut and gets a online lender or an out of area lender, most of the time it works out, but sometimes not.I like a lender who is accountable. If I can march into their office to set them straight, they are accountable. If they can meet me at my office after hours they are accountable. My website has many names. Whether you first came upon it as www.LakeWenatcheeCabins.com or perhaps www.CashmereHomes.com or even rarer yet www.GeordieRomer.com they all are my website. It started and still is a really nice template site from Cevado (my favorite web geeks on Lake Chelan) I needed an upgrade- something that yelled out 2007 instead of 2002. I contacted my favorite local photographer www.JohnMarshallPhoto.com  and asked him for a knockout photo to use. (I will have them put the credit on their ASAP John..) I have been a little surprised that there hasn't been much movement in the usually crazy Cashmere housing market. Currently, there are 10 homes on the market in Cashmere under $300,000. This is about a 3.5 month supply. Clearly a strong seller's market by most approximations.
