I am so pleased to report to you all with news that is sure to bring a smile to your face....last week came to a close bearing great news from, the month of September.  Existing home sales climbed 9.4% alone during September making a 5.57 million annual rate; a figure almost double to what the consensus had predicted.  This brings relieving news after August slight drop after hitting a speed bump in progress.  Possibly even better is the news that the inventory is down to 7.8 months, making it several steps closer to the desired 6 month housing … (0 comments)

News of the recession coming to an end has been getting more and more buzz these days as people talk about various improvements in the market.  I would certainly agree myself that 2009 has shown a much more favorable outcome than that of previous years. However in reading some comments and other blogs I've noticed that there is a disbelief about the markets recovery.  In the words of Steve Morris CEO of Exit Realty Corp, International, the "storm has passed."  There are several reasons to why I would agree with this myself.

San Antonio has seen some great improvements over the year as a whole compared to the drastic fluctuations seen prior.  Although August did see a slight slip in the market, the great progress made should not be forgotten.  Leaders in the industry such as Steve Morris are calling the "storm" to be over and the time to pick ourselves up is upon us.

     San Antonio has been experiencing noticeable  rises in market conditions for the last four months straight and positive changes in buyer hesitation.  Three noticeable factors in this rise is the buyer tax credit, historic lows in mortgage rates, and affordability of homes being at record lows as well.
     Yet with all this progress, San Antonio saw a drop of 2.7% in existing home sales.  DON'T PANIC just yet however.  Looking at the big picture, there is still an upward trend compared to last year by 3.4%  In addition, the volume of existing homes has now dropped to 8.5 … (2 comments)

market report: SURGE in Home Sales!!! ^ 9.6% in July!! - 08/26/09 09:26 PM
Home sales went on the rise last month for a 9.6% increaseduring the month of July.  This number exceeds all expectations of the market predictions and also is the fourth straight month to see a rise in home sales.  This is a great testament of the market making a turn for the best.  Sales have actually risen 32% since January of this year. 
So where are we at now with these increases compared to the markets peak four years ago.  In truth we a 69% below in home sales from this point four years ago.

Much to my delight I was looking through the newest REALTOR magazine and stumbled across an article that is sure to lift your spirits.  I had been reading news of the market making a postive turn around, but was not sure whether to truly believe it. After hearing of a change in the market from several sources, my belief in the turn around began to rise.
