Sorry that I missed y'all last week, I hope things were good in your corner of the world.  We had a great trip back to see family but boy it was hot and humid, gotta love Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio this time of year.

   It is a great time to buy a home
 
Even though the home buyer tax credit is now behind us, it is still a great time to consider buying a new home.  Buyers can take advantage of today's low interest rates and home prices are lower than we have seen in years. 
When you combine today's prices with our historically low interest rates, your buying power is stronger than it has been in a very long time.  And add to that some very motivated sellers, plus a large selection of homes to choose from, and the time is golden.

I just read a wonderful article by Kathy Kristof on Money Watch titled, "6 Things You Should Never Reveal on Facebook."
With how much time we all spend on social networking sites I found the article to be very informative.  Some of the things recommended not sharing were pretty obvious, like don't post that you are going on vacation and then have your address listed in your profile.
However, some I had not thought of.  Like don't post your birth-date and place of birth.  Sharing what day you were born on is no problem, but if you list … (2 comments)

            Happy Friday to all!
 
I hope that your week is wrapping up nicely.  Things are peachy here in the great Pacific Northwest.  Summer has finally come, as I shared last week, and it was worth the wait.  It has been perfect.
And just in time.  My son-in-law's sister is getting married this weekend, so I hope they have a beautiful sunny day.

Happy Friday to all
And what a Friday it is.  Summer has finally come to the Pacific Northwest.  For all of you who live around here, you know that this is what we wait for all the rest of the year.  Clear blue skies, the mountain out and lots and lots and lots of sunshine.  Oh my, it has been amazing the last few days.

Happy Friday to all!
I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day and is getting excited for the three day weekend.  Any big plans?  We are not sure at our house what we will do.  But whatever we decide I just hope the sun will join us!  Oh please, oh please, oh please!!

Here is a quick look at what it going on in the real estate market in our area, zip code 98042...
There are currently 308 homes for sale with prices ranging from the low 100,000's to just under 3 million.
2-bedrooms homes for sale:  11 3 bedroom homes for sale:  132 4 bedroom homes for sale:  124 5+ bedroom homes for sale:  41  
There were 35 homes that sold in June, 2010.   29 were re-sale homes and  6 were new construction.
A further breakout shows what type of homes sold..,.
New Construction:  9% Bank Owned:  31.5% Short Sales:  11.5% Regular Re-sales:  48%
