Happy Friday to all!
 
I hope this finds your week wrapping up nicely.  Things are peachy here in my corner of the world.   For those of us who have so patiently waited for summer to arrive  (OK so I wasn't all that patient), I think it finally has.  Yep, took until Mid August this year, but WOW,  have we had several of the most amazing days. 
All good things come to those who wait :)

Happy Friday to all!!!    
I hope that your week is wrapping up nicely.   My week has been grand.  The SUN finally made it to Seattle and funny how when the sun is out everything just seems nicer.  Now for some of you that get a lot of sun, or those who have endured the horrible heat this summer, that might sound funny.   But for those of us who have had no sun or summer, this has been the BEST of weeks.

THE 30 DAY CHALLENGE
 
I just watched this video about how to change something in your life in just 30 days. 
Do you want to write a novel, give up sugar, exercise?  Whatever it is that you would like to change, improve, learn, etc - just commit to it for 30 days.  Really, 30 days, we can do anything for 30 days.  And at the end of 30 days, odds are you have created a new habit.

I just got this in an email from a friend and I had to share, I mean we all need a little laughter during our day.

I hope this finds you having a wonderful day and I hope that your week has been grand.  My week was really busy, so I am thinking I will have to see if I can fit in more play than work this weekend.   You know...  all work and no play makes geri a dull girl, and we would not want that to happen :)

Happy Friday to all! 
I hope this finds you having a fantastic day.  I sure am - I think summer has finally made it way to the west coast!  While so many of you have been oppressed by the intense heat, we have still been wearing our coats and jackets out here in Seattle.  But that weather that we dream about all year long has finally arrived...    70 degrees, light breezes, sunny skies, mountain views...  Yep Chamber of Commerce kinds of days!  Welcome to Seattle summer!!!

Here is a quick look at what it going on in the real estate market in our area, zip code 98042...
There are currently 260 homes for sale with prices ranging from $64,500 to just over 2 million.
1 and 2-bedrooms homes for sale: 13 3 bedroom homes for sale: 126 4 bedroom homes for sale: 93 5+ bedroom homes for sale: 28  
There were 40 homes that sold in July, 2011.  36 were re-sale homes and 4 were new construction.
A further breakout shows what type of homes sold..,.
New Construction: 10% Bank Owned: 37.5% Short Sales: 15% Regular Re-sales: 37.5%

I-90 Bridge Closure Information - 08/01/11 04:30 PM

 
Seafair 2011!
 
One of the highlights of the summer around here is Seafair and the Blue Angels!  But with the arrival of their big show means some  closures to I-90 for their practices as well as the show next weekend. 
The Washington State Department of transportation will close all lanes of interstate 90 across Lake Washington several times from Thursday, August 4th through Sunday, August 7th.
The closure times are listed below.  They include all mainline I-90 lanes between Interstate 5 in Seattle and Island Crest Way on Mercer Island, and the entire length of the I-90 Express Lanes.  … (0 comments)
