I plan on writing a book about the various funny experiences I have had in real estate over 30 years.  If you have a funny real estate experience, I would appreciate hearing it.  One of my favorites is about a friendwhom we used to call "Miss Negative Real Estate".  She used to always tell a prospect EVERYTHING that was wrong with a property, but usually made a joke about it.  One weekend, there was a walk-in which she proceeded to show property.  He said he was from the East Coast, a cash buyer, and needed to move his family to Carmel,CA within 30 days.  So only show me Vacant Listings which can close quickly, he stated.  She showed himvacant houses all day Saturday and took him out Sunday morning, but didn't seem to be able to locate the right property for him.  She was recounting the story to the rest of the office at our next sales meeting when she picked up the local paper.  On the front page, was the prospects picture with the following headline, "Serial Rapist Attacks Realtors up the Coast. Our agent took one look at the article, and proclaimed, "Damn, that's the ultimate rejection!  He didn't even make a pass at me!"  We all think he was laughing too hard.
