california: Ben Lewis and Lake Merritt - 01/08/11 03:47 PM
Ben Lewis and Lake Merritt January 6th, 2011 The People’s Guide is Curbed SF’s tour o’ the nabes, lead by our most loyal readers, favorite bloggers, and other luminaries of our choosing. Have a piece to say? We’ll be happy to hand over the megaphone. This week, we welcome Ben Lewis, Curbed SF reader.Nabe: It’s hard to define the Lake Merritt area as its borders blend fairly seamlessly with several other neighborhoods. For this bit, I’ll be including everything within a 1 mile radius of Oakland’s little gem, Fairyland (and if you haven’t checked out Oaklandish’s new Fairyland tee and hoody, please do). Tell

california: Google vs. Microsoft... Does your mail have a "G" in it? - 01/06/11 12:41 AM
Am I missing something here? "Microsoft 59 million VS Google 21 million. Almost 3x the cost...... I'd be investigating the finances of some of the Department of Interior" Seriously... california: UPDATE: Just Kidding! No Embarcadero Halloween after all?: Seems the Examiner may have flubbed… - 09/26/08 07:04 PM
UPDATE: Just Kidding! No Embarcadero Halloween after all?: Seems the Examiner may have flubbed... September 26th, 2008 Seems the Examiner may have flubbed that Halloween Embarcadero story. According to SF Gate blog City Insider, the mayor's office is citing some "crossed wires" over the whole thing. Oct. 31 is Friday, and Sunday Streets is called Sunday Streets for a reason. To be fair, though, the mayor's spokesman wouldn't say the paper was "wrong" to say that Gavin said they were planning it. Huh?
