google: Too late for the bad Apple... Early bird gets the worm. - 07/08/11 10:22 PM
Wonder what this will do to revenues. This from Business Times: Apple Inc. 's iAd mobile advertising business is struggling to keep top clients, cutting rates by up to 70 percent, Bloomberg reports citing people familiar with the matter. Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) was initially charging clients such as Citigroup Inc.(NYSE: C) and JC Penny Co. Inc. (NYSE: JCP) $1 million or more to run campaigns, when it rolled out the iAd service a year ago. The report says Apple is now charging as little as $300,000 for packages as clients have turned instead to Google Inc. 's (NASDAQ: GOOG) AdMob, Millennial Media and

google: Google vs. Microsoft... Does your mail have a "G" in it? - 01/06/11 12:41 AM
Am I missing something here? "Microsoft 59 million VS Google 21 million. Almost 3x the cost...... I'd be investigating the finances of some of the Department of Interior" Seriously... I'm sure there is a good use for the extra 38 million dollars, if those figures are accurate (though I doubt Google could complete the job for THAT cheap). Besides, I would trust GOOG and its security over MSFT. It appears many people have yet to discover Google Chrome. Sounds like Susan Braden deserves a pat on the back... I mean really, Google will produce a better, more secure

Bay Area: Will New Ways of Selling and Buying Take Over the Real Estate Market? Yesterday, February 24, 2008, 11:56:26 PM | anna.hibble When the market takes a dive, we might expect that realtors would also sink a little; at the very least, they’d need to tread water more vigorously to stay afloat. What’s interesting then is that even as real estate sales weaken, nontraditional real estate companies like Redfin, Zillow, and Trulia are growing. According to today’s San Francisco Chronicle: Now, although most of the real estate industry wishes it could fast-forward through 2008, these online startups are surviving nicely.

www.gregorygarver.com www.1031netleased.com New Increased Conforming Loan Rates no help as of yet Today, February 25, 2008, 8 hours ago So the new conforming loan rates have been signed into law, and many of us have been waiting to see how those new guidelines will actualize themselves in the coming weeks. Unfortunately it's not shaping up to be much of a boost to the jumbo loan affordability, at least for the moment. As reported by Matt Carter from Inman News - The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association announced that the new conforming loan increase of $729,750 will not be put into the same pool of secondary market

Sign of the Times: We’re F’d January 19th, 2008 <!-- by admin0 --> Curbed member and flickr photog flemertown, spied this absurdly arbitrary speed limit on 19th Street. A Special Evening Preview For A Big View Home On Marina Boulevard January 19th, 2008 <!-- by admin0 --> Purchased for $3,100,000 just over two years ago (10/24/2005), and having recently undergone a major renovation (including the addition of a media room, fourth bedroom suite, and an arched cast stone entryway), 767 Marina Boulevard is now back on the market for $4,950,000. If you’re seriously interested, there’s a “special evening preview” tonight (from 4-6pm). And no, this shouldn’t be considered an apples to apples comp (key words: “major renovation”). ∙ Listing: 767 Marina Boulevard (4/3.5) - $4,950,000 [MLS] Posted in

An Apples To Apples Comp To Be Is Back On The Market In The Marina January 19th, 2008 <!-- by admin0 --> Withdrawn from the market last month, 3324 Octavia #4 is back, only this time with zero official days on the market (versus almost 60) and an “original” list price of $749,000. This one-bedroom condo in the Marina features stainless steel countertops in the kitchen (a look we rather like) and an oversized shower in the bathroom. And yes, a list price that remains $1,000 less than what the sellers paid three and one-half years ago (7/16/2004). ∙ Listing:
