Wonder what this will do to revenues. This from Business Times:
Apple Inc. 's iAd mobile advertising business is struggling to keep top clients, cutting rates by up to 70 percent, Bloomberg reports citing people familiar with the matter.
Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) was initially charging clients such as Citigroup Inc.(NYSE: C) and JC Penny Co. Inc. (NYSE: JCP) $1 million or more to run campaigns, when it rolled out the iAd service a year ago.
The report says Apple is now charging as little as $300,000 for packages as clients have turned instead to Google Inc. 's (NASDAQ: GOOG) AdMob, Millennial Media and … (2 comments)

Not that we'd expect cruise ship rent to consistently beat solid-ground prices in San Francisco, but in at least one instance, it does. At a cost per day of $31.53 on a 19-day cruise on the Norwegian Sun, maybe luxury cruise ships are a viable option for the exodus of folks who can't afford to stay. [SF Citizen]

Seems the Examiner may have flubbed that Halloween Embarcadero story. According to SF Gate blog City Insider, the mayor's office is citing some "crossed wires" over the whole thing. Oct. 31 is Friday, and Sunday Streets is called Sunday Streets for a reason. To be fair, though, the mayor's spokesman wouldn't say the paper was "wrong" to say that Gavin said they were planning it. Huh? [SF Gate]
