Trapped in Albuquerque - Snow Creates A Winter Wonderland - 12/21/06 12:53 AM
Yesterday, folk were cross-country skiing in Albuquerque.  Last night the cross-country truckers and holiday travelers were not allowed on sections of the the interstate highways because of icy conditions. Today, just half an hour away up on Sandia Peak, skiershave take to the slopes.
I am at home this morning at my desk -all scheduled events cancelled since yesterdday morning through tonight. Since we are so close to the Christmas and New Year holidays, essentially all business events to the end of the year are cancelled.

Housing Market Shift-a ripple, not a roller-coaster ride - 12/12/06 09:24 PM
A while back, in a conversation about the cyclical nature of real estate markets, one of my teachers in real estate school, offered that the Albuquerque / New Mexico real estate market experiences cycles of ripples and not the roller-coaster rides of many other communities across the country.
I have been studying the changes in the market, and the Albuquerque ripple effect seems to be valid.
