Larry Waldman, senior economist at the University, said the New Mexico economy is walking, and not running as it was in 2006. New Mexico's economic growth though slower than 2006 and previous years, is still outperforming the national economy. Buyers and the Media This was the year that buyers in our area were to a large extent confused by the news media. Newspaper headlines, more often than not, carried news that reflected average conditions around the country. They failed to make distinctions between regions or between the new and the resale home sales. 2007: Active Rain Year in Review - It Has Been A Grand Party - 01/02/08 01:14 AM
Arrival at the Party I arrived at Active Rain just about one year ago, January 14 2007 feeling as if I were the last person to enter a lqrge room full of people at a party where veryone already knew everyone else, and I the only stranger. (Newbies take note.) It so happened I was not at the end of the line for very long; by then daily arrivals to to the blog group must have been far past the 10 per day of the opening days of July and August.
