albuquerque activities: This Week in Albuquerque, NM - 06/05/09 11:22 PM
Albuquerque has another name. The city has been fondly called the Duke City for years and now another name is becoming popular - The "Q." It has one advantage. It is easier to spell.
So what happened in the Q this week? Many of us in the real estate business are feeling hopeful about the market and are pleased that first-time home buyers in particular seem to be taking advantage of the large inventory and continuing low rates and other available incentives.

albuquerque activities: Albuquerque. NM State Fair - Day Two - 09/11/08 02:53 AM
It is amazing how delightfully different each day at the state fair can be! It's the same venue , the the same food, the same shows; but the experience is different each time. On my second visit yesterday I did not have to be an entertainer. I was at the fair to be entertained, eat, people watch and maybe play a game or two and go on wild rides.

The community does not allow visitors to wander unescorted around … (3 comments)

albuquerque activities: Hitch a Ride on a Hot Air Balloon in Albuquerque, New Mexico - 10/04/07 08:44 PM

I wrote the post below last year to introduceAlbuquerque, New Mexico's annual international event and to celebrate my very first ride in a hot air balloon.
I was very pleasantly surprised with the calm and peacefulness of the ride. From start to finish, from take off to landing, it was like floating on a cloud. Reflecting on that flight, it is difficult to reconcile it with yesterday's tragic events relating to a balloon flight. Of course, on a calm uneventful flight, we tend to forget how really frail our balloon vessels are. I wrote:Our annual 9-day balloon fiesta event in Albuquerque, … (4 comments)
