albuquerque homes: Market Update - In Albuquerque, New Mexico Real Estate is Local - 04/24/10 03:31 PM
All real estate is local so while we read the national news and stay abreast of what is happening in other states, we must remember that what is true of the markets in other parts of the country at any one point in time may not be not be true for Albuquerque, New Mexico. The downturn wave in the real estate market reached the Greater Albuquerque area of New Mexico in the fall of 2007 almost a year later than several other states where the market heated up to bubble or near bubble proportions. In New Mexico, market appreciation started later, (7 comments)

albuquerque homes: El Caballero - Tranquil North Valley, Albuquerque, New Mexico Neighborhood - 09/14/08 02:18 PM
El Caballero de Los Ranchos, one of Albuquerque, New Mexico North Valley's most delightful neighborhoods is in a gated, park-like setting off Chavez Road between 4th Street and Rio Grande Boulevard. Like most North Valley residential developments, the El Caballero site was once a farm. The lush green of the area may be a continuing testimony to the fruitfulness of that era. A current resident told me that the development was the brainchild of three or four friends just about 30 to 40 years ago, and that the last house was constructed in the early 90's. El Caballero continues to be a preferred destination for those seeking the (3 comments)
albuquerque homes: A Spacious Home at The Trails, Albuquerque, New Mexico - 09/05/08 01:32 AM
Number 9115 Ladron is a home in The Trails master-planned community on the edge of the high mesa in northwest Albuquerque. I would say this house is for a large family, but that description may not be acceptable in our multiple listing descriptions. Instead, I will say it has 3770 square feet, is a spacious, two story house with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and more than two living areas that include a great room, a loft and a hobby room. The home has a separate private space that could be used as guest quarters or a home office. Interior features include upgraded kitchen cabinets and counter tops, soaring ceilings, rich wood trim (0 comments)
albuquerque homes: Sustainable Efforts in Albuquerque - 05/20/08 02:45 AM
From Taos and Santa Fe through Albuquerque, Tijeras and Edgewood in the East Mountains, to Los Lunas in the south, the United States Green Building Council New Mexico (USGBCNM) chapter, observed Sustainability Week with lectures, workshops, and tours of gardens and green buildings-commercial and residential. The self-guided residential tour was educational and served to show that green and sustainable concepts encompass more than buildings. Although not obvious to the uninitiated, the twenty homes at various stages of completion on the residential tour, provided tour participants with close-up views of sustainable (green) techniques and products during the construction phase and in completed (6 comments)
