housing: New Condos Coming to Town - 02/27/07 07:48 AM
Who is Venture Corp? I don't know, but according to the Albuquerque Journal Business Outlook of 2/26/07 they are California developers who are on the verge of building 77,000 square feet of new commercial condo space on New Mexico's Albuquerque West Side. We have no pictures yet, but the designers sketch on the front page of the Business Outlook looks ritzy. The site for these condos is a prime area of high visibility near Eagle Ranch and Paradise Hills, a neighborhood of comfortable Taylor Ranch and Congress Heights homes. housing: Go West In Albuquerque With New Construction - 02/07/07 12:44 AM
The phrase Go west still has significance for the city of Albuquerque in the southwestern state of New Mexico. That way lies unhindered expansion out into the desert towards majestic Mount Taylor rising above the high mesa with its snow-capped peak. The city is bounded on the east by the Sandia Mountain ranges that rise up some 11,000 ft. To the north, Native American reservation lands and rapidly-growing Rio Rancho our sister city restrict expansion. South of Albuquerque, the airport and air force bases form another barrier. Only to the west, skirting the sacred protected areas of the National Pertoglyph Monument does expansion seem possible. And that expansion is underway. I marvel at the

housing: Housing Market Shift-a ripple, not a roller-coaster ride - 12/12/06 09:24 PM
A while back, in a conversation about the cyclical nature of real estate markets, one of my teachers in real estate school, offered that the Albuquerque / New Mexico real estate market experiences cycles of ripples and not the roller-coaster rides of many other communities across the country. I have been studying the changes in the market, and the Albuquerque ripple effect seems to be valid.
